Sustera recruits for luxury hospitality, luxury food & beverage, and luxury retail. On the hospitality side that means hotels, resorts and lifestyle venues; in F&B, fine dining, restaurant groups and F&B operators; in retail, luxury brands and boutiques. We place across the full spectrum, from operational and line-level roles through hotel and restaurant management to executive search and C-level appointments. Every search is briefed and calibrated to the seniority of the role, so a line-level shortlist and a general manager search are run differently.
We are based in Dubai and work across three regions: the GCC, Europe and Türkiye. In the Gulf that includes the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Bahrain, with most of our work concentrated in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Jeddah and Doha. In Europe we support year-round properties and seasonal destinations across the UK, France, Italy, Spain and the Greek islands. In Türkiye we recruit for Istanbul and every other city, as well as the seasonal coastal markets of Bodrum, Fethiye and Antalya. Our candidate network is international, so a role in one market is often filled by a professional currently working in another — we go where the right talent is.
There are no upfront fees, retainers or search charges. We begin with a framework agreement that covers all your future roles rather than a single position, then brief each role individually. You are invoiced only when a candidate we presented accepts your offer and starts. Fee levels vary with the seniority of the role and are agreed in writing before any search begins, so there are no surprises at the point of hire. In practice this means we share the risk of the search with you: if we do not place, you do not pay. See the investment model for more.
Speed depends on the role. An operational or line-level search draws on a candidate pool we are in constant contact with, so a first shortlist can follow the briefing quickly. A management or executive search takes longer, because the right people are usually employed, need to be approached discreetly and deserve a proper conversation before they are presented. At the briefing stage we agree a realistic timeline for your specific role and keep you informed as the search progresses. What we do not do is send unfiltered CVs to appear fast: every candidate you receive has been assessed against your brief and your culture.
Every placement is covered by our replacement guarantee. If a candidate we placed leaves within the agreed guarantee period, we run a replacement search at no additional fee. The period and terms are set out in your framework agreement and vary with the seniority of the role. We also work to make the guarantee unnecessary: we check in with both you and the candidate during the first weeks after the start, so integration issues are picked up early rather than becoming a resignation.
Three things. First, focus: we work only in luxury hospitality, luxury F&B and luxury retail, so we understand the roles, the standards and the people before a brief arrives. Second, method: we do not post an advert and forward the applicants. Most of the professionals we place are not actively looking; they are approached directly through our network and assessed for service culture, cultural range and fit, not only for a CV match. Third, accountability: our fee is earned only on a successful placement and backed by a replacement guarantee. A job board gives you volume. We give you a small number of people who are right. Our article on what to look for in a luxury hospitality recruiter goes into this in detail.
Send us a message through the contact form, email info@susteraconsultancy.com or reach us on WhatsApp. The first step is a conversation about your business, your culture and the roles you are hiring for; there is no obligation at this stage. If we are a good fit, we formalise the partnership with a framework agreement, then complete a detailed briefing for each open role: candidate profile, compensation structure, working conditions and process expectations. The search begins once the brief is signed off.
Yes, completely. Joining our candidate pool, being presented to employers and being placed in your next role costs you nothing at any stage; our fees are paid by the employers we work with. Most of the roles we fill are never advertised, so the way to reach them is to be in our network before the brief arrives. Send your CV to cv@susteraconsultancy.com today with a short note on the roles and markets you are open to, and we will contact you as soon as a suitable opportunity comes up.
Yes. Alongside free placement, we offer paid one-to-one support for professionals who want to invest in their next step: interview coaching for a specific role or market, CV optimisation, and LinkedIn profile positioning. Each engagement is tailored, so there is no fixed menu. Describe what you need in an email to info@susteraconsultancy.com and we will reply with the details and a quote.
Email your CV to cv@susteraconsultancy.com, or use the contact details on the For Professionals page. Tell us briefly which roles, sectors and markets you are open to and whether you are available to relocate. We review every profile and keep it on file confidentially; we do not share your CV with any employer without speaking to you first. When a role fits, we call you to discuss it, prepare you for the process and present you to the client with your consent. If nothing suitable is open at the moment, you remain in our network and we contact you when it is.
No. Confidentiality is the basis of how we work with professionals. Your CV and your interest in a role are shared only with the specific employer we have discussed with you, and only after you agree. We do not post profiles, circulate CVs or approach your references without your permission. Many of the people we place are in senior roles and were not actively looking; discretion is what makes those conversations possible.
Yes. A large share of our placements involve a move between markets, and we support you through it. Before you accept, we help you read the offer as a whole — basic salary, allowances, accommodation, service charge and bonus, visa sponsorship for you and your family, notice and probation terms — so that you decide on the real package rather than a headline figure. The employer handles the visa and immigration process; we make sure you know what to expect and what to clarify before signing. Our article on relocating to the Gulf covers the questions worth asking in detail.
We work with professionals at every level, from operational and line-level roles to general managers and executives, so there is no single profile. What we look for across all of them is genuine experience in a luxury or premium service environment, evidence of standards held under pressure, and the cultural range to serve international guests and clients. English is required for almost every role; Arabic, French, Italian, Spanish, Turkish, Russian, Mandarin and German are valued in specific markets and venues. If your background is in hotels, restaurants, F&B operations or luxury retail and you take service seriously, we would like to hear from you: send your CV to cv@susteraconsultancy.com.
